One of the most beneficial health strategies is to plan your self-care time before you put anything else on your calendar. If you don’t, then work, family and life in general will be competing for your time.

It’s a common practice to cross off your personal time, to make up for life activities. The truth is, if we take a little better care of ourselves, we might have more energy and less stress when it comes to dealing with those very same events demanding our attention.
So, how often should you get a massage?
If you get a massage once a year, it will be relaxing but it can’t undo a lifetime of muscle tension. Typically once a week or every 2 weeks is ideal to start with and will get your muscles pliable and in good shape. Once your feeling good, once a month is the recommended minimum for maintaining the health of your tissue. If you start stretching the massages out to far apart, then your muscles can revert back to their old patterns, especially if you are under stress. If you wait too long you will have to start all over again to restore their suppleness and pliancy. Listen to your body but don’t wait to long in an effort to save money.
Don’t wait till your back is screaming.
