I am all about supporting my local economy and my fellow small businesses in my town, and I love to direct people I come in contact with to the places I love. Not only does the business Benefit, but I look pretty cool in the process, knowing where to go. 🤩

I have been going to this salon to get my lashes and hair done for years now. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and highly knowledgeable. Kae, the owner, just opened her new posh permanent makeup studio, Permanent Makeup by KAE, right above the main salon, and her adorable poodle lulu is often there to greet guests 🥰. Amanda does my lashes and is my go-to girl. I am incredibly picky when it comes to lash applications, but she has been constantly my favorite, and I’ve tried a few. She has to be one of the nicest human beings on the planet and is so easy to talk to during my session, and I swear she must know more about me than my mother and definitely more than my husband 😆🤫.
They offer both hair and spa services and, of course, now permanent makeup. Worth a try if you’re looking for a new salon or a change.

Next up is Splendore Family Chiropractic and its owner Donna Splendore. Now I suppose someone could say I’m partial because my office is within her business, but I can honestly say that if I were to move my practice to another location, I would still be sending my clients to her. Whenever I have gone to a chiropractor, I’ve always gotten twisted into pretzels, and then they make that neck adjustment where it feels like they are going to rip your head off. That part always makes me tense up and cringe. No, I’m not saying I don’t necessarily like being twisted into a pretzel and hearing my back pop all the way up like a zipper, but there is something to be said about subtlety and effectiveness. Donna uses a drop table which I had never experienced before. She feels up my spine and then presses a little button on the floor and presses down on my back, and the table will drop out from underneath me in a specific section. This technique is called The Thompson Drop Technique. This type of adjustment relieves pressure on joints, which will help to reduce joint inflammation, improves nerve function, and improve range of motion. It doesn’t require twisting into a pretzel. She does this up my spine, starting at my hips and continuing into my neck. There have been several times that I have woken up in severe pain and been waiting at her desk for when she opens. And every single time she has worked on me, whether it be just a regular maintenance visit or an emergency visit, she always gets the job done, and I always feel amazing afterward. Not only is she superb at her career, but she’s also a fantastic person.

I have nothing but great things to say about Amy, owner of Concord Family Acupuncture. I love acupuncture!! I started using it at my husbands’ recommendation from his experience when I was a week overdue with my 4th child. I’m not sure if it helped convince the baby it was moving day or not, but the sense of calm that I experienced afterward was unreal, and it lasted for days, if not a week after my appointment! Since that initial appointment, I have kept going back for body pains, sleeping issues, anxiety, and even to relieve morning sickness. My 11-year-old daughter is even going to help with her anxiety from being separated from the world and her school during Covid, and now she’s dealing with the stress of going back in person, at a new school, starting middle school. 😳 Amy listens intently to your issues and concerns and is very informative about what she is doing and why. I love her!
Now anyone who knows me well knows that I LOVE FOOD!!

The Cannoli Stop is located right up the street from my studio on louden rd and is an excellent stop if you have a sweet tooth or need to get a gift for someone who does. Now I love cannoli and love it so much that back in my pre-kid days, I used to drive into Boston to visit Mike’s Pastries and Regina pizza in the north end. Trust me, and The Cannoli Stop will not disappoint.

I’m not sure if I’m ashamed of this or not, but there have been some weeks when we have ordered dinner from The Red Blazer multiple times. Sometimes when you have as many kids as we do and work full time, the last thing you want to think of is what you’re going to make for dinner. Our favorites are the chicken parm sandwich served on garlic buttered, toasted ciabatta bread with sweet potato fries 🤤, chicken Marsala, their homemade steak bomb sub, and the kids love the chicken finger platter. Everything I’ve ever gotten from this restaurant has been yummy. Also, they have a display case in their lobby of some of the most delicious desserts. Good luck trying to pick only 1! 😆
